Art really IS important

Okay, well I haven’t written for about a month. I think that’s a record.
Simply because I haven’t had all the time in the world lately, and turning on my computer can be a hassle when I’ve got Julius Caesar annotations to do.
This weekend has been crap, so there’s no point in explaining what I did. Not like I did anything exciting.
And supposedly I’m pessimistic. Great. I think it’s more that, whatever I talk about, most other people don’t understand, or at least from my point of view. For example, in art class, we were talking about the school budget. I was saying how I wouldn’t have anything to fall back on if the budget didn’t pass. Everyone around me was like, “OMG Katie, stop freaking out, it passed already.” Yeah but what about next year. If it didn’t pass then. I’d still be screwed over, whether it’s now or later. They also probably don’t understand that without the passing of the budget, we wouldn’t have transportation anymore. I guess they don’t care about their parents having to drive them every morning. *Shrugs*
Well I should probably start my art essay now. If I keep telling people that I have to work on this for the regents, they’re gonna jump down my throat and say how pointless an art regents is. Yeah, maybe to them, but this is my future and I need this for the rest of my life.
*Shakes head,*
Katie

..they’re gonna jump down my throat and see how pointless an art regents is..
ouch.
i really am sorry, katie.
please forgive me for the misunderstanding?
im always gonna respect your career goals and passion for art–my opinions against the grading system have nothing to do with anything.
meh.

It’s not really just you. Other people have done it too. It’s fine now, I just needed to vent then, heh.
It’s alright that you have the point of view you do, that’s what makes it your opinion. That’s all. I just happen to know differently simply because I’ve taken art classes since elementary school and I’ve really progressed to know about different ways to grade art based on the style it’s done in.
Don’t worry about it.
