Last Days

School is creeping up on me a lot faster than I expected. I still need to finish reading and annotating a book, and write an essay. I guess it isn’t that bad, considering that I’ve been working all summer and have barely had time for myself. I didn’t even bother reading a second summer reading book.

The one thing that excites me about school is being able to be a part of something special to me. I’m really excited for Art Club to start because I’ll be president! Another thing that makes me happy is that after this year, I will no longer have to deal with obnoxious West Babylonians. They’re jerks and I don’t care for many of them. College, be prepared, because I’m ready when you are.

Marilyn came up from Florida this past weekend and everyone wanted to spend as much time with her as they could. I had a lot of fun this weekend. We went to the city, saw a movie, and had sleepovers. It was really good to see her again and it made me sad to see her leave. I still can’t believe that she doesn’t live here anymore. It’s amazing to think that two people can be friends when they’re hundreds of miles away.
