Surprise!!

Today was one of the best days of my life. I realized today how many people love and care about me. It was truly amazing. Okay, so here’s how it started. Today I woke up and had no idea what was in store for me. At about 10:30 I was up and about, I was the only one home. I got ready, knowing that I was going to hang out with Corey today. I put on some clothes, my makeup, and called Corey telling him that I was gonna leave, and he insisted that his dad come and pick me up. So Corey came with his dad and they picked me up, we were on our way to something big for me. I walk into Corey’s house and give Bowe a big hug and I pet him. Then Corey tells me “I have something I need to show you downstairs.” And I respond, “What do you need to show me?” I get downstairs and see all of my friends in Corey’s basement at 11:30 am.

So after I stop hyperventilating, I hug Ellie, Vanessa, Taylor, Tom, and Corey and they said “Sorry Darnell couldn’t come.” And then after some small talk, Corey says, “And now presenting a special surprise in the closet, ‘a Black Man!’” That was hilarious, and after I finished cracking up, I hugged Darnell as well. And then Corey shows me my first present, a card that says in a nutshell that we were gonna go go-karting!! Woooohooooo! I was so excited! I had been waiting to go go-karting for years. I haven’t done so since I was twelve.

So we all hop into two cars. Corey’s mom took Corey, Ryan, and Darnell and Ellie drove with me, Tom, and Vanessa. After a quick stop at the bank, we were on our way to Country Fair Entertainment Park. We went go-karting twice and we played mini-golf. We also feasted on some Dippin’ Dots. I tried them for the first time today, they were really good. So after our trip out east we were on our way home so Corey could go to lessons. Since we got to Corey’s house a little earlier than expected, we ate cake and opened gifts. I am so pleased and so blessed to have great friends. Corey got me a guitar that he fixed with his own hands , the 6th and 7th Harry Potter books plus Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, beautiful colorful jewelry, and light up rings from Party City, hahahaha. Ellie got my two books I’ve been wanting for so long, Go Ask Alice and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. She also got me a beautiful bookmark which I love. Vanessa got me zebra print jewelry from Claires , a beautiful dangling sun decoration to put in my car, a pretty little glass butterfly decoration and a dove chocolate bar! Corey’s brother Ryan got me this beautiful wind chime that has a treble clef on it. I have it hanging in my room . Tom got me this amazing blanket that I’ve been wanting for a while from Hot Topic. It’s black with rainbow stars. I love it. Taylor bought me Dominos sometime last week as a birthday gift and as for everyone else, it was just a privilege to have you there for me ♥.

So while Corey was at lessons, we all sat in Corey’s basement watching The Number 23 eating pizza. During all of this, Ellie had to go to another friends party and Matt showed up! It was nice to see all of my friends again. Soon Matt had to leave, we played Cranium and by then, everyone had to be home. Overall it was an awesome day and I couldn’t have asked for more.

Turns out that this was all planned and set up by Corey. He invited everyone and had help from a select few people. Thank you everyone who came and spent time with me, I really enjoyed myself and being there with you guys. I love you all. ♥♥
